The stewardship team leads one of our church's most crucial and most fun ministries. They interpret the ministry of giving and sharing and its impact on the mission of the church. They coordinate a fall campaign inviting members and friends to make a financial pledge in support of the congregation's work through the coming year. They organize a variety of stewardship events that include seasonal celebrations and small group meetings in members' homes.
It's obviously crucial, but is it fun? You bet!
Stewardship is like everything else really important important in life, especially in the life of the church... it's about the relationships. It's about neighbors and strangers coming together in faith, recognizing and building upon the grace of the God in whose image we are all created. It's about expressing our gratitude to God for the extraorinary gift of life and joining with others to make the most of that gift in ways that glorify God. It's about investing our time, talent and treasure in what we really want for ourselves and others.
It's about the relationships; and even when it's work, it's fun.
